Some recent conversations and experiences have reminded me of Jack Leroy Tueller's testament to the power of music, how it connects us, and how it breaks down barriers.
Sit with that for a moment. What makes otherness? And sameness? What do the labels we wear on the outside mean for our insides? The power of music connects our insides, regardless of our labels or what we wear on the outside.
How can we better use music to build connection in what we do? What does that look like in your context? We can appreciate it, we can make it, we can dance to it, we can connect around and through it, and it can hold the space for our deep reflections. Regardless of what we are doing, let’s not be afraid to include music and dance on the bridges it builds between us.
